Our history

For over 70 years, Bachmann RDS has supported the defense, humanitarian and industrial sectors worldwide. Since 2025, as a member of the GFB Group, we have continued to innovate with the same commitment to reliability and performance.

WHO WE ARE

Bachmann RDS designs, manufactures and installs technical infrastructure solutions for the defense, humanitarian and strategic civilian sectors. All our teams and our production site are based near Angoulême, France, while a sales office is located in Paris to ensure customer relations and the company's national and international reach.

The company has built up a solid reputation with its customers: governments, military and humanitarian organizations, NGOs, airports and major corporations.

In 2025, Bachmann RDS joined GFB International, a French family-owned group specializing in off-site construction. This strategic alliance marks a new stage in the company's development, integrating it into a high-performance industrial ecosystem that also includes OBM Construction, SN Poulingue, Atemco and OBM Énergie. Thanks to these synergies, Bachmann RDS now has a stronger base from which to innovate, accelerate growth and offer its customers ever more effective, modular and sustainable solutions.

Backed by its expertise in"BACHMANN" technical hangars, the company provides high value-added infrastructures capable of protecting sensitive equipment under the most demanding conditions. Products for every need

Bachmann RDS has been successfully supplying products for emergency response, disaster management, humanitarian relief, decontamination and military markets for over 70 years. They create customized designs and solutions that meet the highest manufacturing standards. Bachmann RDS employs well-trained and experienced craftsmen and uses only high-quality materials.

Most of its RDS structures are primarily designed for military use, and can be rapidly deployed to provide fast, effective and reliable protection for people and/or sensitive equipment. Durable and robust, their products are suitable for both short- and long-term use. Bachmann RDS offers fully integrated solutions, from an initial design proposal, to supply, installation and, if required, maintenance.
