Military camp for 135 pax

Darwish Bin Ahmed & Sons (DBA) is a renowned group of companies in the Middle East, with whom we have worked for many years to meet the needs of the local armed forces. For this project, we worked hand-in-hand with the end-user to develop a rapidly deployable mobile military camp capable of accommodating up to 135 soldiers and officers for training and/or external operations.

Darwish Bin Ahmed military camp

A tailor-made camp

Following the supply of several trailer-mounted AMD shelters for a key military customer in the Middle East, DBA asked us to develop a mobile military camp capable of providing comfortable accommodation facilities for 135 soldiers and VIP officers during their military exercises and overseas operations. Over the course of a year, we worked hand-in-hand with the end-customer to find the most appropriate combination of tented accommodation and containerized facilities to meet their daily operational needs in terms of ablution, water treatment, food preparation and distribution, energy management, waste disposal, medical care, site security and more.

The result of this close collaboration is a fully integrated camp that has been adjusted for various deployment scenarios and configurations (1 x 135, 2 x 60 or 2 x 72 pax) and carefully designed to offer an unprecedented level of comfort, with powerful air-conditioning systems and optimum thermal insulation. Logistics have also been optimized to enable compact transport and rapid deployment on any terrain, with very few tools and other handling aids.

For the end customer, it was vital to be able to reduce the impact of wear and tear over the long term, in order to guarantee the camp's operational continuity. We responded to this particular need by providing a maintenance manager based directly on their premises, whose job it is to regularly inspect the equipment, and carry out any necessary repairs, to ensure that the camp remains fully operational at all times.

What have we delivered?

The camp was delivered turnkey, ready to use, and we also provided training on best deployment and packing practices. It combines several TAG and TMM inflatable tents for accommodation, sports facilities, prayer room, camp clinic and dining hall. These rapidly deployable tents are complemented by containers for all vital functions, such as ablutions, food preparation, waste incineration, surgery, offices, surveillance, wastewater treatment, food storage (dry, refrigerated, frozen), power generation, maintenance, etc.

All connections to the hydraulic and electrical networks have been designed and built according to the camp's three possible configurations, and optimized for rapid installation.
